Accessibility Statement

This site should work for everyone — with a keyboard, a screen reader, reduced motion, high zoom, or any combination of them. If something on dbo.io is in your way, that's a bug. Tell us and we'll fix it.

Conformance status

dbo.io aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as referenced by the European standard EN 301 549 and Germany's Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG), which implements the European Accessibility Act.

We believe the site currently meets that standard. Where we find gaps — or you find them for us — we treat them as defects, not backlog items.

What we do to keep it that way

  • Semantic HTML first. Real headings, landmarks, labeled forms, and content that reads correctly without JavaScript. What a machine can parse, a screen reader can read.
  • Keyboard support everywhere. Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator. A skip link at the top of every page jumps straight to the content.
  • Verified color contrast. Text colors in both light and dark themes are checked mathematically against the WCAG 4.5:1 ratio — not judged by eye.
  • Motion respect. The site honors your system's reduced-motion preference; animations and smooth scrolling are disabled when you ask for that.
  • Testing with tooling. We audit pages with automated accessibility checkers (axe, Lighthouse) and keyboard-only walkthroughs as part of ongoing development.

Known limitations

We are not aware of any parts of the site that fail WCAG 2.1 AA. If we discover a limitation we cannot fix immediately, we will list it here, along with a workaround where one exists.

Feedback

If you encounter an accessibility barrier anywhere on dbo.io — something you can't read, reach, or operate — email us at support@dbo.io. Describe what you were trying to do and what got in the way; the page URL and your assistive technology (if any) help us reproduce it. We're a small team and we read every message; accessibility reports are prioritized as bugs.

Enforcement

If you are in Germany and believe we have not responded adequately to an accessibility issue, you can contact the market surveillance authority responsible under the BFSG: the Marktüberwachungsstelle der Länder für die Barrierefreiheit von Produkten und Dienstleistungen (MLBF), mlbf.de. We'd appreciate the chance to fix it first.

About this statement

This statement was prepared on July 7, 2026, based on a self-assessment of the dbo.io website against WCAG 2.1 AA. We review it whenever the site changes in ways that could affect accessibility, and at least once a year.
